MDCN Tribunal Resumes Sitting On Negligence Cases Today

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is scheduled to resume its tribunal sittings over reported cases on the part of some medical and dental practitioners today.

This was disclosed in a notice sent by the council to our correspondent in Abuja.

The notice was signed by the Abdulsalam Z.O.T on behalf of the registrar of the council.

The notice reads, “The Medical and Dental Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal is to resume hearing of the reported and investigated cases of professional misconducts during its sittings which are scheduled to hold from Monday 6th to Thursday 9th December 2021.”

Our correspondent reports that the MDCN which is saddled with the responsibility of registering medical and dental practitioners in Nigeria is also responsible for sanctioning erring officers.

In August, the council noted that its tribunal banned three doctors and suspended 12 over misconduct.
